This subsector comprises (1) legal entities engaged only in holding the securities of subsidiaries and affiliates for the purpose of owning a controlling interest or influencing the management decisions of these businesses, or (2), establishments primarily engaged in administering, overseeing, and managing other establishments of the company or enterprise and which may also hold the securities of their subsidiaries and affiliates. A characteristic of economic units in this sector is that all activities are focused on serving the economic units of the enterprise group, that is, they do not provide services to unaffiliated establishment.
