Score = round((Factors Passed / Total Applicable Factors) * 10)
Factors marked as 'n/a' (not applicable) are excluded from the denominator to ensure the score accurately reflects the reliability of available data.
The 7 Factors
- Verified official source: Presence in official StatCan classifier files.
- International crosswalk: Direct mapping to UN ISIC Rev. 4 standard.
- Previous edition migration: Valid path from NAICS 2017 version.
- Complete hierarchy: Integrity of the parent-child chain to the root.
- Size or threshold documented: Presence of documented SME size standards.
- Trade or export match: Mapping to HS/Schedule B customs codes.
- Legacy crosswalk: Correspondence with retired national systems (SIC).
